Opening ceremony of the International Training Center at National Aviation Academy.
On April 8, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony of the International Training Center at National Aviation Academy. ✈️
The project was initiated by Azerbaijan Airlines and represents a significant step forward in aviation training and human capital development.
As UNICO, we are proud to have contributed to this strategic project as the main contractor. 🏗️
The center is designed to support:
• Emergency preparedness training for flight crews
• Theoretical and practical training for air traffic controllers
• Education aligned with ICAO and EASA standards
• Aeronavigation training based on the programs of DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung Academy
The facility is equipped with advanced technologies, including:
• 360° TWR tower simulator
• Radar simulation complex
• A320/A321 NEO CEET training simulator by SkyArt
• Door Trainer systems for Boeing 787
• Real-condition fire training simulators
The center is expected to train annually:
• ~30 air traffic controllers
• ~3,000 flight crew members
This modern infrastructure will significantly strengthen aviation training capabilities in the region, enhance safety standards, and contribute to building a highly competitive national workforce.
